Velma A. Heitbrink, age 87 of Maria Stein, Ohio died Wednesday, at 7:37 PM on November 6, 2013 at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born September 26, 1926 in Maria Stein, Ohio to the late Frederick and the late Stella (Holdheide) Clune. She married Cletus Heitbrink on August 17, 1946 in Maria Stein, Ohio. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1993. She is survived by children Steve & Sharon Heitbrink, St. Sebastian, John & Margie Heitbrink, McCartyville, Don & June Heitbrink, Maria Stein, Mary Ellen "Pinki" & Roger Tuente, Osgood, Jenny & Joe Botkin, Minster and Ann Heitbrink & Ken Rethman, Minster, 12 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren, brothers & sisters Vera Gudorf, Dayton, Ernie & Ann Clune, Denver, Co, Lenny Clune, Minster and Bob & Susie Clune Minster, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Phyllis Clune, New York, Dolores Schwieterman, Maria Stein, Lorena Vagedes, Coldwater, Bertha Heitbrink, Maria Stein, Mary Heitbrink. Dayton. She was preceded in death by daughter Christina Heitbrink, grandson Jordan Diller, brother Elmer Clune, sisters Edna & Oscar Stueve, Dorothy & Roger Schwieterman, Isabelle Heuker, Cornelius Heitbrink, James & Marian Vehorn, Thomas & Betty Heitbrink, Arthur Vagedes, Harry Heitbrink and Alma Clune. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, Ohio, the Ladies Sodality of the Church, a CCD Teacher and the Director of Religious Education for 17, years and a communion distributor at church, the homebound and in the nursing home. She was a Nurses Aide and Ward Secretary at Coldwater Community Hospital, worked at home Health Care Nurses Aide and volunteered at the Hospital. She was also a Uniform Rank of the Knights of St. John Auxillary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Monday, November 11, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Gene Schnipke celebrant. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 10, 2013 and from 9:30 to 10:00 AM on Monday, November 11, 2013.
